coated lifeline wire

All of our coated lifeline wire is made from type 316 stainless steel with 7x7 wire construction.  Many sailboat and yacht life line wire is made with type 304 stainless steel.  Some rigging shops use 7x19 or 1x19 wire construction within their coating.  7x19 construction has very small wire stranding, works fine for spinnaker pole gear, but breaks down faster when used for life lines.  Coatings often slip on 1x19 lifeline wire construction as there is not enough stranding for the coating to grip.
